by Erica Martinez (c) 2012 I was a stone in a river... And suddenly...the river was gone A thousand feet passed over me... The Ark of God's covenant passed over me... I sit on the shore... I cry out... "The waters of the Jordan were cut off that all the people of the earth May know that the Hand of the Lord is Mighty so that You may fear your God forever." I was a stone in a brook... The Lord's anointed picked me The Lord's said... "Goliath, you come to me with a sword, A spear and a javelin... But I come to you in the name of the Lord of Hosts This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands". I flew through the air...I hit my mark.....Goliath fell dead. With David I cry out... "Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy The armies of the Lord?!" I am a bloodied stone... I pierce the flesh of a man possessed... The demons cry out...they bend to Gods will.. . The man is free With the man I cry out... "The Lord Jesus has done a great thing for me.. And He had mercy on me!" I am a large stone... I stand between darkness and light In front of me the light dances with anticipation... Behind me the darkness clings to the cold, lifeless body Suddenly I am moving! The darkness is vanquished! With the Angels I cry out... "Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here...He is Risen! Christ is Risen! |
